Flaying Animal | Bubo Sumatranus  | The Barred Eagle-Owl (Bubo sumatranus), also called the Malay Eagle Owl, is a species of owl in the Strigidae family. It is found in Brunei, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Thailand. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. The owl is one group of birds of prey "raptor" which hunt their prey at night (nocturnal). Owls have a specific body characteristics that are different from other types of birds of prey, which is large and round heads wide, flat face and large eyes which oversees the fore, on the face plate line which is a divider in the face around the eyes. Almost all types of feather color pattern of owls is a blend of gray, brown, black and white. The combination is necessary in camouflage when hunting prey and avoiding enemies.

Have eyebrows like a horn. found in Brunei, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Thailand. The nature habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. Having a large body size (45 cm) with thick lines. Dark gray fur with a horizontal beam striking the ear, upper body blackish brown, dark yellow striped entirely smooth, white eyebrows. The bottom of the gray body whitish thick black stripes. When flying in a loud voice "wuuh" or "hua-wuh," and sounds like a laugh "kakakaka".

Spread from peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Sumatra, Bangka, Java and Bali. Rainforest-lowland until height of 1000 m above sea level. Prey of small mammals such as rats, snakes, small fish and small birds obtained by hunting snatched from the perch and hopping deftly on the ground. Likes to bathe pond or stream and start the activity out of hiding at dusk.

There are about 134 kinds of owls are spread evenly throughout the world, except Antarctica and the surrounding islands, consisting of two tribes, namely Hoarseness (Tytonidae tribes) and tribes Strigidae. In large Sundanese (Sumatra, Java, Bali and Borneo) there are two types of interest Tytonidae namely Java Hoarseness (Tyto alba) and Hoarseness Hill (Phodilus badius), while the tribe Stringidae there are twenty types, including Inside Jampuk (Bubo sumatranus), Ketupa outs (Ketupa ketupu), plop Reban (Otus lempiji), Kukuk Seloputu (Strix seloputo).
