Flaying Animal | Guyana Cock of the rock | Cock of the rock is a kind of beautiful birds of medium size (20-40 cm) from the American south. This bird gets its name, from places that are breeding in the rocky hill at the edge of the forest. It consists of two bird species, namely: Guyana Cock of The Rock Rupicola rupicola scattered in the highlands of Guyana, including Suriname, eastern Colombia, southern Venezuela, Amazonia Brazil and the Andean Cock of the Rock Rupicola peruvianus scattered in the forest area which includes the Andes mountains : Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.
Guyana Cock of the Rock is one of the most beautiful birds and most unusual in South America. Throughout the bird's body is covered by an orange feathers are very conspicuous. Head equipped with semi-circular crown which is not unusual for the birds. But the strangest thing of all is the mating season the complex and unique breed.

Andean Cock of the Rock-sized slightly larger than its cousin in Guyana. Characteristic of this bird is like a topknot on the crown of rock singers of the '80s and back coat color is bluish gray. This bird food consists of fruits, insects and small reptiles like lizards and frogs. ReplyDeleteCock of the Rock is really an unusually beautiful bird. I mean this as the crest upon it's head makes the top look like it's head nonexistent. But the oddity doesn't take away from it's beauty, just making an observation.
